Fairy Garden

Happy Monday...
IMG_7650-2 ...from our Fairy Garden to yours.

When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. So there ought to be one fairy for every boy or girl.

Tybee Island

our time on tybee island wasn't exactly how we expected. mainly because it started and ended (and continued!) with a wretched stomach bug. but despite the throwing up, there was lots of fun had by all! kira was reading as well as addie (and she's a year younger!), but what i loved most was watching her read to her brother!Untitled-12 i do love the white, gulf sand; but this beach was beautiful. the girls had the most fun in the ocean that i think they have ever collectively (that was a terribly awkward sentence. maybe it made a little sense)!  Untitled-6 and how could you not with uncle jay kicking, shooing, and splashing the waves before they got to you!  Untitled-5 i think so much of their fun had to do with their ages. Untitled-4 and this little girl loved it. she was so brave and joyful (ok, and sassy!)! Untitled-3 i almost left my camera at the house on this afternoon. it looked like rain, and i knew the overcast skies would be beautiful for pictures!  Untitled-21 but given my track record with cameras and water...it was debatable whether or not i should even go out with my camera! Untitled-13 but i did, and i'm thankful! Untitled-1 because these are some sweet memories... Untitled-11 of some sweet girls... Untitled-10 and a boy! love their smiles so much! IMG_8894-98_edited-1 it was so much fun to watch the cousins interact. the little girls adore kira, and she played just as well and was just as kind to them as she was to addie.  IMG_8882 there was lots of sandcastles and digging and huge sand holes! Untitled-8and this one loves her little brother so much! Untitled-7 this cutie. oh i just can't get enough of him! Untitled-17 he loved the beach and the sand and the sun.  Untitled-16 he watched his sisters and cousins Untitled-15 ...and ate sand! Untitled-14and now that you've had andrew overload (but oh my word! how cute is he!), i think this is my favorite set of beach pictures. if you look closely, you can see addie had been knocked down by the waves. anne perry is stretching and reaching to grab addie's hand and pull her up. i love how she loves addie and how she loves to help others. there's a lot of natural mother in anne perry!
Untitled-2
hands down, these are two of the best daddies i know. i'm so thankful for both of them and the influence they have on our children.IMG_8834

Popcicles and Bubbles.

i just realized i have very few pictures of john and simon. it could be because they were not feeling so hot much of the time i had my camera out. they stayed in from the beach when i took pictures while the others played. and while i can see simon's head below, i have no idea where john was!

i love how we can turn anything into a treat with these kiddoss! popsicles all around and silly pictures with grandma!Untitled-31 love these girls! all so different and so precious at the same time! they all played amazingly well together for an entire week.  Untitled-23 and i love these two boys so much!!!  Untitled-22 the bubbles were almost as much of a treat as the popsicles! Untitled-32 and i love the pictures of the girls. Untitled-26 this one's smile is as big as her passion for life! Untitled-25 i dont know when this one got so very big. i love watching her grow and witnessing her want to grow as a little person. what an honor it is to be her mommy! Untitled-24

Beach Babies

seven cousins. 6, 5, 4, 4, 3, 18 months and 10 months. there is absolutely no reason this picture should exist! but it does and we love it! IMG_9122-23-05 this was a last minute shot. the girls wanted to sit on the log. the picture of the 3 of them is precious, but then we plopped andrew down and he smiled! perfection x4! IMG_9214 my beautiful niece and handsome nephews!  IMG_9150-55-57 aunt millie, kira, uncle jay, simon and john: our precious family. we're so thankful for them and the time we get to spend with them.  IMG_9142-44 and i love this picture of the six (!) of us! thanks aunt millie for taking it!IMG_9190happy happy beach babies!
