it has always been a bit of a haven for our family, but this trip to see my aunt in the mountains was just that. it was our first overnight trip with andrew...and we made it; all four kiddos traveled beautifully and mostly slept at night. my aunt just moved into her gorgeous new condo with a million dollar view. the weather ranged from high 60's to low 30's by the time we left. we picnicked with no coats, and we took nature walks down her mountain all bundled up.
(one of my all time favorite (iphone) pictures!)
and rolled in soft green fields (and immediately went in to take baths and check for ticks!).
we built fires to stay warm and roast s'mores
and played games and watched movies and dressed up in nana's fancy clothes, which revealed a bit of sassy girls carrying alligator purses and feathers!
thank you nana for daring to host all six of us; never once complaining about the chaos and noise that comes with three girls five and under plus an infant; clearing out your guest room to fit a single and double air mattress, pack-n-play and all of us; and exploring your beautiful mountain with us girlies. we love you and can't wait to see you again soon!(excuse the pictures. they are a mix of iphone pictures (which look great on an iphone ;) and real camera pictures when i got the energy to pull out the big one!)
