a Fairy Special 4th Birthday

These sweet girls turned 4 the beginning of May! Oh how I love them & oh how I wish I could slow down time...on most days at least! While i'm pretty sure they would have preferred a frozen party, i think they really had fun at their fairy party! Untitled-3there were wands and wings for the girls and eye patches for the boys.
Untitled-1 i found a variety of vases on sale and filled them with wildflowers. a little fairy garland and fairies the girls made added to the party favors of pixie dust and gold coins! Untitled-2sweet friends arrived and got to color pirate hats and their very own fairies.   IMG_1186 then we played a not-so-successful but still fun pixie dust game. Untitled-4 then everyone had a snack of fairy berries (and grapes), fairy wands, twigs (pretzels) and pixie punch.

and a little time to visit ;0)  IMG_1209 after a quick (and rather chaotic) treasure hunt to find jewels for their fairy houses and treasure boxes, it was time to pull out the paint!IMG_1219 and these two little birthday girls...Untitled-7 were so serious about their painting!IMG_1230 the girls painted fairy houses and the boys painted treasure boxes with glittery, shimmery paint and then got to glue their jewels on! Untitled-6 and here's the ones the Anne Perry and Audrey Kate so carefully painted!IMG_1276 and a few their friends painted!Untitled-10 then it was time for fairy cakes! IMG_1251 ...which i completely forgot to get a picture of the perfect cupcake tower my mom arranged, but they were similar to this! Untitled-9 these two were so cute while everyone sang happy birthday!

and thank you even more for the a-mazing amount of donations made to the Friendship Women's Shelter in honor of our girls!

i don't entirely remember who did what or when because while i was carrying a table, i knocked my knee so hard that i could hardly see straight (thank goodness for our essential oils pain cream!); but i do know that grandpa and mrs. gail showed up super early to help me set up tables and decorate while my mom made a last minute stop for balloons with addie. paul wrangled the three littles and got them there. he managed to get wings on every little girls and eye patches on the boys! then my mom fed and strolled andrew around during the party while grandpa, mrs. gail and papa al helped get all the paint ready! and then the cleanup...it went so fast with all the amazing help from everyone i've already mentioned and gramma. needless to say...it takes a village; and i'm so thankful for ours!
