Pumpkin

...carving with our little pumpkin, that is!

I called Paul on the way home last week and asked him to grab a pumpkin.

I knew we wouldn't make it to the pumpkin patch this year.
Our October weekends just seemed to disappear.

So he came home with a ginormous pumpkin that Addie immediately deemed HER pumpkin...

...that I clearly should NOT take a picture of!

(don't mind the incredibly dirty face and t-shirt and panties attire)

While I often try to respect her {reasonable} wishes, this would not be the case here!
bIMG_6948
...and after a while, she didn't seem to mind!

After we finally managed to get the top off, she was fascinated with what was inside it!

I was actually a little surprised she was willing to stick her hand in the sliminess!

You might remember this picture from the other day...

LOVE this face!

And I just love watching Addie discover things!

...and mix things up a bit!

Thankfully my mom was here to feed the babies. So I got to take pictures...

...while Paul carefully designed our pumpkin! (and Addie helped!)

After the carving begin, Addie wanted to see "whatcha doing, Daddy!"

And I love how she's tucked under his arm here!

And after all that work, this {smile} made it worth every minute of it!
bIMG_6991
Even though it was on the world's {dirtiest} face!

But I was pretty proud of Paul's {creation}!

Happy Halloween!

I realize my posts are getting shorter and shorter and fewer and farther between.

ok...except this one has {just a few} pictures

But between trying to catch up

keep up

clean up

Oh, and care for 3 precious angels

(side note: yes, this is a miracle picture!)

I'm not sitting often

except to nurse or rock.

I will get pictures edited sooner or later though

and posted.

I promise.

Yeah. And we start construction tomorrow or Wednesday.

{sigh}

I'll spare you the Halloween costume drama that ensued yesterday because today, it wasn't even an issue.

Friday Firsts: Pumpkin Carving

more pictures from a our Safari trip (when my camera broke), the babies' first cereal eating, Addie's Gramma's 60th birthday, and pumpkin carving to come...very soon.

as soon as I finish smocking Addie's dress for Saturday.

as soon as I clean out our laundry room so we can start construction Tuesday!

as soon as I {partially} regain order in our home!

as soon as I get a little sleep.

speaking of sleep: the babies slept 8 hours Wednesday night.

God sure does know when I need those few extra hours of sleep, and He never fails to provide it!

But for now...a Friday First: Pumpkin Carving!

do excuse the very dirty face!

yes...a picture can be worth a thousand words.

Kindermusik

I'm so far behind on pictures. Well...I actually don't have that many pictures to post. I've been a tad out of commission! But I'm going backwards...basically, Kindermusik Halloween and the beach. That's it! Yes, I'm so jealous of people's beautiful fall pictures. Yes, I wish I had some of my own from the mountains. BUT...I'm here typing, right? Thankful!

Addie and I have been attending a Kindermusik class with Mandy and Cady for a few months now. The whole concept of the class is movement with music. I've been amazed at Addie's new found ability to keep the beat when she dances now or claps. I really think it has a lot to do with this class! And it's always fun for Mandy and me to get to spend a little time together and enjoy watching the girls interact. They are such sweet friends!

We missed the trunk or treat at our church and few parties with friends, but we're hoping to make it down to a local college for a fall festival this afternoon. We'll see!

So enough words...

Not my best set of pictures; but I was still sporting 35 staples, which meant I had a tad harder time maneuvering myself! So don't look at them too closely...or they'll blur!

Our little kitty cat!
bIMG_6462
And how cute that Cady was a dog! We hadn't even talked about it!
bIMG_6465
This is Addie's teacher. She was so sweet to do some of the lifting and movement with Addie because I couldn't!

Mandy was so sweet to help with Addie too! We've both learned a lot about having two kids...and carrying them at the same time! You can see how much heavier Addie is though!
bIMG_6559
This isnt' the greatest picture, but I LOVE it because Cady's turning around to find her friend and make sure she's ok! Sweet friends!
bIMG_6565
Their sweet little class. Look at all the animals! Duck, dog, cat, rooster, ladybug, peacock, and lion. But you cant forget the AU football player and the adorable little girl in the poodle skirt and glasses!
bIMG_6569
So what were your kids for Halloween?

Beach pictures to come...sometime soon!
