Our sewage line is not just clogged, it's "busted" and now overflowing underneath our house. Among other obvious things, they pulled out a serious amount roots from the pipe. I guess this is what happens when you live in a house with the original pipes from 1928!
We continue to have a lot to be thankful for: our God who provides for each and every need we have, each other, our family, our health, a home to stay in while ours is being repaired, new carpet in our living room (yes, this was already scheduled before the frig died and the plumbing broke...), a new frig on the way, and that all of this didn't happen while we had family and friends in town/over for Addie's birthday!
I subscribe to a Crosswalk email called Girlfriends in God. It always come at the right time with the right message! The scripture for today was this: 2 Corinthians 4:18 "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
All of this is temporary!
If you want to read about a slightly lighter and more humorous day to remember, head on over to the M family's blog to read about their sweet family...you are sure to get a good laugh (and cry probably) out of this one!
"The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him." Nahum 1:7
Oh my! I hope that your homeowners insurance or the like will help pay for all of this :-(
