- Carrying my little girl.
- Swallowing pills without gagging.
- Taking a shower without gagging and having to lay down for 30 minutes afterward, or even better, having to take a nap!
- NOT throwing up. NOT worrying about throwing up.
- NOT being constantly hungry but being unable to eat.
- Eating. Period.
- Walking from one room to the other without getting out of breath.
- Walking from my car in a parking lot, into a store, around the store, and back out without having to sit down for a break (or practically passing out).
- Being able to stand while talking.
- Looking pregnant, finally, at 20 weeks.
- Feeling the girls kick.
- Cooking dinner without having to hold my nose. Cooking dinner at all.
- Deciding what we'll have for dinner more than 30 minutes beforehand and actually enjoying it!
- Changing diapers (cloth diapers especially), even the poopy ones.
- Giving sweet Addie a bath.
- Cleaning my house.
- Sleeping normal hours.
- Sitting (and standing) all the way through church without having to leave.
- Driving! (being independent!)
- Sitting on the floor playing with Addie!

How wonderful, Anna. Your perspective is wonderful and encouraging to others. I cannot believe that you are already at 20 weeks!
ReplyDeleteso...you're feeling better now? that's good to hear! all of those things were true of me the last half of my pregnancy... except the eating & throwing up. i could always eat, and i wasn't ever really sick. and i looked pregnant at 20 hours, not 20 weeks! : ) and i only had 1 baby at the end of my pregnancy. so really not the same at all! ha!

I love it. What a gift to be able to keep your joy and gratitude through a (somewhat unroutine!) twin pregnancy. You've inspired me to do a list, too - stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand.....right now I am constantly saying that as I hold and nurse Morgan while trying to simultaniously feed Thomas and Maddy in their highchairs...then clean them up and take then out (buckles and all)....never would have thought it could all be done one handed! WOW! Hang in there girl...you will find many more super power gifts that you have that will see you through the upcoming challenges.....all are blessings! The saying God never gives us more than we can handle is so very true...we adapt to what we have to do! Love ya!
