After taking a picture of Addie for my class with a friend's cute pool, I drug out the hose and let her play around in it for a while. However, the hose seemed to be the biggest hit!
We returned that baby pool and have spent a fair amount of time in the front yard since then (our backyard has way too many mosquitoes!) in or around an old baby pool. What's that...? Why would we have an old baby pool laying around? Hmmmm...I plead the 5th. But it has something to do with the fact that we had two golden retrievers, lovers of water, who needed a place to cool off in the 105 degree heat.
Well, this old pool had a few leaves, among other things that had collected in it; so I scrubbed it, drug the hose out, and let the kid/s loose! Addie had a ball. Abbey had a ball!

What I really wish is that you could hear the giggles. The deep, belly laughing, truer than life, uninhibited giggles.

She had so much fun laughing at Abbey.
You know...rolling
But at the same time, it made me incredibly nervous that this kid who hates to have water poured over her head to get the soap out in the tub was crawling in and out, rolling in the water, slipping and sliding, splashing her own face, and basically not caring that water was everywhere.
But seriously people. What's a girl gotta do around here to get a drink of water?
...besides use the hose?

Just flash that sweet smile; and we'll turn the water off, climb out of the pool, dump the water, unleash the dog, dry her off, strip the swimsuit, ditch the diaper, rinse off in the bath, dry the baby...and get a drink of water,

...of course!
